September News
We had another very hot month here on the high desert. We saw many days in the upper 80’s (even some low 90’s) and virtually no rain (1 day of measurable precip). No sign of slowdown on the weeds and a later than normal cut back on irrigation.
We’ve been challenged with the replacement lawn mowers but for the most part things are going well. I can’t thank YOU enough for your patience and THEM for really saving me during this difficult time.
We’ll be by in the middle weeks of October to turn off the water. This will ensure that you don’t waste water or cause any freezing issues should the weather get really cold before blowouts get done. Towards the end of October and throughout November your irrigation will be blown out. This will primarily be done by Mateski Irrigation (541-389-6328) or Specialty Spray (541-389-2919) and billed separately by them.. Please e-mail me if you have any questions about blowouts.
Cleanups will begin as weather warrants. In a perfect world, we’d wait until all of the leaves dropped and THEN cleanup, but that rarely happens so we’ll work as quick as we can in November to get things raked, vacuumed and mowed before snow or frost puts an end to things for the year. By all means, drop me a line if you have any questions of requests.
Thank you all for your positive thoughts and patience during my accident recovery. It’s slow going and there’s nothing for me to do but think positive thoughts and watch the calendar pass… It’s a long slow process. I actually am scheduled to start rehabilitation next week and that can last 4-8 weeks. I’ll know more soon. At this point I still can’t walk BUT am more or less pain free. Most of the road rash has healed, the ribs are sore but o.k. and the bones in my shoulder and leg are growing back together as expected (however slowly).
Enjoy the first few weeks of fall and thanks again for your continued trust support.
