October Newsletter
Hi,
We had a crazy dry October (only really one day of rain and not much at that) that was quite cold in the middle and actually pretty nice at the front and back ends. The leaf drop was almost non-existent until these past few days when it got quite cold at night.
We got to most properties to turn the water off the week of October 14-19. WE turn off the water at the clock and/or the irrigation main so that in case it gets cold and the blowouts don’t occur until after October (which most do) then there will be a greatly reduced chance that the landscape will be wet and frozen for cleanups. The blowouts will be performed by a licensed contractor and billed to you separately.
Luke, Linda and/or I will be making the rounds to do cleanups now that leaf drop is occurring. As usual it will be totally dependent upon the weather. Whatever doesn’t get cleaned up in November will get picked up in the spring. We do not run the regular routes in November so the day we come by will not necessarily be your normal day. If you have any special requests or any particular time/events that require attention please let me know.
It’s been a challenging 11 weeks since my “deer incident”. I’m healing faster than expected but am still not walking yet as the damage was quite extensive. I expect to begin learning to walk again in the next few days. The bones have healed well, now it’s time to get the muscles involved and re-learn how to use the foot. With luck I’ll be on properties again by mid-November.
THANK YOU to all of the landscapers who pitched in to help me out in this rough time.
THANK YOU for your patience while I was laid up.
Please feel free to call or email with any questions or concerns.
